Suna East Member of Parliament (MP) Junet Mohamed has been heavily criticized by the public after claiming nominated senator Isaac Mwaura bleached to get a nomination seat.

Trouble is brewing for Suna East Member of Parliament (MP) Junet Mohamed after the National Commission and Integration Commission (NCIC) announced it was considering taking action against the 'demeaning' remarks the legislator made against nominated senator Isaac Mwaura.

Speaking in Turkana County on Saturday during a popularization drive of the building bridges initiative (BBI), the legislator claimed Mwaura bleached to get a nomination slot.

Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura

"It seems he bleached himself so he could secure himself nomination to the National Assembly first through the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), then Jubilee and now he has decamped to the Wheelbarrow movement," Junet is captured saying in the video.

The NCIC has condemned the remarks warning of possible action, "The National Commission and Integration Commission condemns these utterances by Hon @JunetMohamed making fun of Hon @MwauraIsaac1 disability. Such utterances are demeaning to persons living with disability, if left unattended it may trigger division between persons of different colors. The Commission is considering the matter with the view of taking appropriate action."

A section of the public condemned Junet for making such statements against people living with disabilities.
