Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has lashed out at Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna for asking Kenyans not to pay the Hustler Fund loan they have acquired.
Gachagua who was speaking in Murang'a told off Sifuna saying his behaviour is far from that of a leader.
"Nimeona huyu senator was Azimio huko Nairobi akiambia watu wa Azimio ati wakope hiyo pesa an wasilipe. Sasa , si hiyo ni ujinga? If you find a leader anasimama na ni kiongozi amechaguliwa na anaambia wananchi ati kopa pesa na usilipe, huyo ni kiongozi kweli?" Gachagua asked.
He went on to urge Kenyans to pay the money because it will help millions of people relying on it for business.

Sifuna on Saturday asked President William Ruto to convert the Hustler Fund loans to grants as he had promised.
He said that the President should keep his promises adding that Kenyans should help him in converting the money into grants.
"Help Ruto keep his own promises. Convert that loan into the grant he promised. He will do you nothing. Happy Sabbath," he said.
A total of Sh1,381,747,777 of the Hustler Fund has been disbursed to Kenyans as of Friday midnight.
Cooperatives and MSMEs Cabinet Secretary Simon Chelugui said that 5,191,542 customers have opted in for the Hustler Fund.
