In a series of tweets on Saturday night, Ruto and his allies claimed that 411 News Alert was a propaganda tool being used by the government to frustrate the Hustler brigade.

Deputy President William Ruto and his allies under the Hustler movement, have urged Kenyans to unsubscribe from SMS news platform dubbed ‘411 News Alert’.

In a series of tweets on Saturday night, Ruto and his allies claimed that 411 News Alert was a propaganda tool being used by the government to frustrate the Hustler brigade.

In a tweet, DP Ruto posted a message indicating that he had unsubscribed from the platform.

“Dear Subscriber, you have successfully unsubscribed from 21411_News_Breaking_News/5sms. Tuonane kule mbele. KaziNiKazi,” he tweeted.


The same was replicated by his allies who posted screenshot shots of their exit message from the news platform.

Senator Kipchumba Murkomen said: “ There’s no difference between SMS news alert 411 and Joseph Goebbels’ notepad. It is the state’s most vicious propaganda tool against hustler’s and their quest for inclusion. Unsubscribe is the only option left… To Unsubscribe from 411 news alert please dial *456*20# and follow the instructions. Thank you !”
