  • The leaders had met to discuss the state of the Jubilee Party and the development agenda.
  • However, during the interview, the rift in Jubilee played out.

There was drama on Wednesday during an interview on Citizen TV pitting Jubilee Vice-chair David Murathe and Elegeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen.

The two leaders had met to discuss the state of the Jubilee Party that has been rocked by internal wrangles.

The drama started when Murkomen accused Murathe of coming to the show while drunk. According to Murkomen, the Jubilee vice-chair was unable to control himself because he was under the influence. ‘

However, Murathe fired back, stating that Murkomen resorts to personal attacks when unable to channel issues.

The leaders were in the process of discussing the status of the big four agenda.

“When Murkomen cannot argue, he starts saying people are under the influence…but what has he done to help the President achieve his Big four agenda?” said Murathe.

Murkomen protested Murathe’s conduct.

“You have to find a way to control Murathe because of the situation he is in...I told you to stop drinking before you come to the show,” said Murkomen.

However, Murathe interjected, asking Murkomen to come over for a drink.

"Kuja tukunywe na wewe…”Murathe fired back.

At some point, Murkomen protested that he might end the interview over Murathe’s lack of control.

During the fiery interview, the leaders exhibited the Jubilee rift that has seemingly gotten out of hand.

Mukomen accused Murathe of corruption and misleading President Uhuru Kenyatta. On the other hand, Murathe maintained the Deputy President William Ruto and his allies were propagating corruption in the country.
