Speaking in Kayole on Friday, Uhuru left the crowd in stitches after insinuating that Babu Owino would have stoned him in the absence of the handshake.

Embakasi East Member of Parliament has appreciated President Uhuru Kenyatta for visiting his constituency, noting that he together with his constituents love the Head of State.

Reacting to a statement by President Kenyatta, where he noted that had it not been for the handshake between him and ODM leader Raila Odinga, his visit would have chaotic, Babu cheekily responded stating that they won’t stone his convoy.

“I was honored to welcome H. E the President Uhuru Kenyatta as he opened a new level 2 hospital in Soweto. We will continue to work with H. E Kenyatta’s government to ensure our people enjoy the fruits of development… Thank you H.E Uhuru Kenyatta for visiting my Embakasi East Constituency. We love you hatutakupiga na mawe,” he tweeted.

Speaking on Friday while in Kayole, Uhuru left the crowd in stitches after insinuating that Babu Owino would have stoned him in the absence of the handshake.

“Were it not for the Handshake Babu Owino would have organized his group to stone my motorcade today,” said Uhuru.

He noted that following the truce, the hostility in the country has toned down significantly.

The Head of State was speaking in the area after launching a hospital commissioned by the Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS).

Kenyatta stated that the Handshake deal between him and the Opposition chief was not aimed at hoisting Odinga to the presidency.

The President further used the opportunity to call on Kayole residents to throw their support behind Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
