Deputy President William Ruto on Wednesday met Margaret Njambi popularly known as 'cucu wa gikandu' after her viral video.

In a video that was captured less than two weeks ago during a meeting in Kiharu, Murang'a County, Njambi rooted for DP Ruto adding that she would back him for the presidency in the 2022 general election.

She went ahead and expressed interest in meeting DP Ruto in person and assure him of their support together with other elders from Kiharu constituency.

Her request came to fruition after DP Ruto met Njambi at his Karen offices and pledged to support her business.

"Interacted with former quarry worker turned small-scale farmer Margaret Njambi after her video went viral during a Kiharu development meeting where she expressed her interest to meet the Deputy President "_macho kwa macho (in person).”

Agreed to support the 64-year-old “Cucu wa Gikandu” with her small-scale farming, Karen, Nairobi County," DP Ruto tweeted.
