  • The school was closed indefinitely following the strike.
  • Only KCSE candidates have been allowed back to the institution.

The Board of Management at Moi Girls High School Eldoret has adopted a unique strategy to pin down students and teachers who led the institution's strike.

The students have been asked to name perpetrators of the strike as KCSE candidates reported back to school on Wednesday.

Following the strike, the institution was closed indefinitely on February 17, with students calling for the principal's removal.

Upon reporting to the school, the students were given a form with a list of questions regarding the strike. The form titled 'BOM Adhoc committee confidential questionnaire' asks the students not to reveal their identities.

The students' information will be required to include the ringleader of the strike, how the strike began, where and when it was planned, what caused the strike, and the role the individual student played in the strike.

The school has, however, not clarified how the information will be used. However, it is widely believed the information will trace the final events leading to the strike.

The school principal, Christine Chumba, was accused of corruption and mismanagement. She is facing scrutiny over the mishandling of teachers and changing the school diet.
