Jubilee Party kicks out Caleb Kositany as deputy Secretary General; to be replaced by Hon. Joshua Kutuny.

Soy MP Caleb Kositany has been ousted as the Jubilee Party Deputy Secretary-General.

In a statement sent to newsrooms on Monday evening, Jubilee Party Secretary-General Raphael Tuju said that Joshua Kutuny would replace Kositany.

"The Jubilee Party National Management Committee met today - 1st March 2020. at the party headquarters, and in exercise of its mandate as provided for under Article 7 (2) of the Jubilee party constitution removed Hon Caleb Kositany from the position Deputy Secretary-General with immediate effect," part of the statement read.

Kositany is a close ally of deputy president William Ruto and has in the recent past criticized the decisions by the party.

The legislator has been at loggerheads with Tuju over some of the decisions and at one time accused the latter of making decisions without consulting party organs.

“It is regrettable that Tuju now thinks he can just run the party without consulting the party organs," Kositany lamented.

Prior to the decision, Jubilee Vice-Chair David Murathe warned Kositany that Jubilee would kick him out of the ruling party.

Murathe mentioned that the Soy MP had been promoting the interests of another party in this case United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
