The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has directed the Inspector General of Police to expedite investigations into the murder of National Land Commission (NLC) deputy director of communications Jennifer Wambua.
According to the DPP, IG Hillary Mutyambai should forward the investigation report to him soon for necessary action.
Wambua’s body was found at the City Mortuary earlier this week with police saying it was discovered at Ngong area.

Meanwhile, homicide detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Wednesday visited the scene where her body was found hoping to unearth new details on the murder.
Investigators want to establish whether Wambua was abducted from the city and killed elsewhere before her body was dumped in the Ngong forest.
CCTV footage at the ACK Gardens and adjacent buildings to the NLC offices captured Wambua being dropped off by her husband Joseph Komu at about 7am and walked in carrying her handbag.
Barely an hour later, Wambua went to where the family car was parked and opened the boot and put her handbag there before leaving on foot towards the city centre from Upper Hill.
Her husband would later find her handbag with her mobile phone inside and Wambua's packed lunch.
Wambua was a key witness in a case where senior state officials were accused of misappropriating millions of taxpayers' money.
