President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday momentarily paused his speech during the state funeral of departed Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli to honour Muslim prayer customs.
While addressing Tanzanians, a Muslim call for prayer (Dhuhr Adhaan) from a nearby masjid.
Many were surprised that the Head of State was familiar with Muslim practices and even took a pause to honour the same.
President Kenyatta received a standing ovation for the respect from the crowd.

In his address, he termed Magufuli a visionary leader who was development-oriented.
He vowed to work with the new administration under President Suluhu Hassan. According to the President, Tanzanian has always been an ally and it will remain so.
The funeral service was attended by top leaders from across Africa including President Cyril Ramaphosa from South Africa, Malawi's Lazarus Chakwera, Botswana's Mokgweetsi Masisi, and Rwanda's Paul Kagame.
Others are Zambia's Edgar Lungu, Zimbabwe's Emmerson Mnangagwa, and DR Congo's Felix Tshisekedi.
The late Tanzanian Magufuli will be buried on March 26.
