 A scan through her social media pages show that Chiloba was an LGBTQ activist who proudly agitated for their rights and fashioned himself as one


Barely a week after a human body was found stashed in a metallic box in Uasin Gishu County, it has now emerged that the remains were of Eldoret-based fashion designer Edwin Chiloba. 

The discovery has shocked many of his close friends and followers considering that the designer had built a name in Uasin Gishu County and beyond. 

A scan through his social media pages shows that Chiloba was an LGBTQ activist who proudly agitated for their rights and fashioned himself as one. 

Police in the county are now trying to solve the murder mystery. 

The remains were discovered after a bodaboda rider spotted a vehicle that had no number plate dropping the metal box along the Kipenyo - Kaptinga road.

It is then that residents approached the box and discovered the remains of a human being. 

The matter was reported to Uasin Gishu police who arrived at the scene. 

Upon opening the box, police discovered a decomposing body of a man dressed in a woman's clothes.

It is after investigations that it was discovered the deceased was Chiloba. 

The body was taken to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital awaiting post-mortem to establish the cause of death.
