City lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has said that Deputy President William Ruto has been gaining the votes of undecided Kenyans because of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In a tweet on Sunday, the lawyer said the gain is largely because of the President Kenyatta’s secret ajenda in the Azimio la Umoja Movement.
He also questioned why a retiring President would have so much interest in the Raila Odinga led movement.
“The biggest factor pushing the "neutral/undecided" voters to Dp Ruto's side is the OVERSIZED ROLE AND SECRET AGENDA H.E UHURU has in the azamio arrangement. Why should a retiring president hold the biggest sway in azimio?” Ahmednasir said.
His sentiments came hours after President Uhuru’s Jubilee and Mr Odinga’s ODM pledged to work together in August 9th General Elections.
The two parties have also been joined by other small parties including; Wiper, Narc, Narc Kenya, Maendeleo Chap Chap, and Muungano among others.
Ahmednasir who claims to be a member of the Jubilee party has for months been calling out ODM leader Raila Odinga over his choice to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
He has also previously shown support for Deputy President William Ruto.
A few days ago, the Senior Counsel said that he would rather support President Uhuru Kenyatta's third term into office, instead of supporting ODM leader Raila Odinga's presidential bid.
Ahmednasir insisted that if President Kenyatta ran for a third term, he would whole-heatedly campaign for him.
"Personally...I will enthusiastically support/campaign for the THIRD term H.E is asking for rather than vote for Hon Raila," tweeted Ahmednasir.
