Detectives investigating the murder of National Lands Commission official Jennifer Wambua have established that she received over Sh2 million in her account a few days before she was murdered.
According to detectives, the cash was from her employer and was to be used to pay suppliers for a project she was overseeing.
Detectives are now investigating if the money is connected to her death since 2 million shillings was withdrawn from her account, but the suppliers say they were not paid.
In addition, the detectives have established that the late Jennifer received 58 calls before her gruesome murder.
The detectives are also looking into these calls to establish whether there is any critical information that can help nail her killers.

So far, Wambua’s husband and several members of staff at the National Lands Commission have been grilled over her murder.
More persons of interest are expected to emerge as the case advances.
Wambua went missing on March 12, and unfortunately, her body was found dumped in Ngong Forest the following day. She was buried on March 24 in Machakos County.
An autopsy conducted on her body revealed that she was strangled to death.
Wambua was a witness in a corruption case where Sh122 million was lost at the Government Advertising Agency. So far, no link has been established been the case and the murder.
