Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni has claimed the number of votes Raila and Ruto got during the 2022, August 9 general election.

Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni has claimed that Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga won the 2022, August 9 General election before the results were manipulated. 

Speaking during a press conference on Wednesday, January 18, the former Ndaragwa MP alleged that Raila Odinga won the election with 8.1 million votes while President William Ruto got 5.9 million votes.

“What has been verified so far shows that Raila won the election with 8,170,355 votes representing 57.53 percent of the votes cast. Ruto got 5,915,973 votes representing 41.66 percent of the votes cast,” Kioni stated.

He also alleged that most of the manipulation took place in the Mt Kenya region according to research done by Vanguard Africa, a non-profit organization that partners with leaders in Africa.

“Most of the manipulation that was done happened within the Mt.Kenya region,” Kioni added.

He further stated that Azimio leader Raila Odinga will give a comprehensive statement when he comes back.

Raila had flown out of the country on Friday, January 13, for a one-week tour in South Africa. ‘

According to a statement by his spokesperson Dennis Onyango the Azimio leader will conduct a series of meeting in his capacity as the AU High Representative for Infrastructure Development in Africa before returning to Kenya.
