Details have emerged on the meeting held between the Head of State and the Kikuyu elders.

Reports indicate that Kenyatta rallied the smaller parties in Mt. Kenya to work with Jubilee so that they could secure more seats in the August election.

The Head of State is also reported to have explained to the elder's reasons behind his fallout with his deputy William Ruto. 

According to sources at the meeting, Kenyatta will remain the community leader of the Mt.Kenya region. 

The President is reported to have asked the Kikuyu elders to back Odinga's presidential bid ahead of the August election.

Jubilee party recently joined Azimio la Umoja and announced that Odinga would be their presidential candidate. 

On the other hand, DP Ruto has called on the President to step aside and let him deal with the former Prime Minister alone.
