Jubilee Secretary-General Raphael Tuju has indicated the possibility of mending fences with Deputy President William Ruto and his camp after the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
Speaking to a local daily on Monday, April 12, 2021, the Jubilee Sec-Gen reiterated that the opportunity cannot be ruled out.
“Perhaps yes, perhaps no, I am loyal but I have a mind of my own. I articulate my views and my positions without fear because I see things differently," Tuju stated.

He admitted to having no issues with the DP on a personal level, revealing that they engage each other on political issues and party affairs.
"We don't have a personal relationship problem with Ruto, the only issue that seems to be having a different opinion is in the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI). That's the only area of contention, otherwise, he is still the deputy party leader," Tuju stated.
The former journalist downplayed the plot to oust DP Ruto as deputy party leader, maintaining that the decision lies with the party's National Executive Council (NEC).
President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to chair the NEC meeting that will determine the fate of the DP.
Tuju reiterated that as of now DP Ruto remains Jubilee's deputy party leader.
"The NEC itself is the one that can pronounce itself on this issue and I cannot speculate which way the body will decide," Tuju stated.
Tuju's sentiments come at the back of rising political tension in the country with parties and individuals positioning themselves ahead of the 2022 general election.
This has seen parties align with each other in support of a common host of leaders or leader.
