Education CS George Magoha apologised to his family for abandoning them during the examination period.

Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha today, April 15, 2021, recognized his family while announcing 2020 KCPE results.

This was while he released the 2020 Kenya Certificate of Primary School Education (KCPE) at Mtihani House in Nairobi.

The CS said that having to ensure the credibility of the national examination process is preserved, may have kept him away from his family.

He recognized his wife, Barbara Odudu Essien Magoha, and their son, Michael Magoha.

" I want to recognise my dear wife, my son and his wife, and our granddaughter who have braved all my absence from them in the interest of the children of this country.

"I have not taken that for granted," CS Magoha assured his family.

Magoha has been around the country during the national examinations period, ensuring that they are administered properly.

In the process, he has nabbed persons subverting examination regulations.

The CS proceeded to appreciate the teachers, security agents, and officers from the Ministry of Education for the sacrifices they made to ensure a successful examination process.

He acknowledged the candidates for braving the pandemic to study and sit for the examinations.
