Magoha will  be laid to rest on Saturday, February 11 after a funeral service that will be held at Odera Kango University in Yala

The family of the late George Magoha has issued a statement on three events that will take place next week ahead of his burial on February 11, 2023.

Magoha’s funeral arrangement committee spokesperson Julius Jwan on Friday, February 3 announced that the events will pay homage to the life of the former CS.

"On February 8, 2023, a farewell caravan shall proceed from Lee Funeral Home through some of the places that defined Prof. Magoha's adult life including the College of Health Sciences at Kenyatta Hospital, the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council headquarters and the Nigerian High Commission," Jwan stated.

The caravan will also pass by St. George's Primary School, the Kenya National Examination Council headquarters, State House Girl High School, the University of Nairobi Graduation Square and Starehe Boys Centre.

Jwan stated that on Thursday, February 9 a requiem mass of the late Magoha will be held at the Consolata Shrine in Westlands.

Magoha’s body will then be airlifted on Friday, February 10 to Township Primary School Siaya where a procession will take place leading up to St. Mary's High School Yala before being taken to his home.

"On February 10, the body will arrive at Township Primary School in Yala at 1 pm before a procession leading up to St. Mary's High School Yala and subsequently a holy mass to follow at his home in Umiru," said Jwan.
