Kenyans have weighed in on the ongoing debate on who should be Raila Odinga's running bet under Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance.

This comes hours after Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka stated that he was the best person to be Odinga's deputy.

In an online opinion poll Nairobileo.co.ke, one of the leading digital media houses in Kenya, put up four candidates who are seen as frontrunners for the position.

Among the politicians selected in the poll were Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua, Agriculture CS Peter Munya, and former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth.

A section of netizens rooted for the Wiper boss, saying that he was better placed among the other three candidates in terms of the votes he would bring to Azimio.

They argued that Kalonzo would bring the most votes as compared t the three.

For Karua, she was supported by a section of netizens who said that she brought the second liberation to Kenya and that she would divert more women votes into Azimio.

A section of Kenyans felt that Karua would help persuade the large chunk of undecided voters to support Odinga's candidature.

One of the tweeps went ahead and questioned whether Kenya was ready for a woman Deputy President.

Those who rooted for Munya said that he would be able to pull ground in Mt Kenya East to bring a large share into the vote basket.

And as for Kenneth, he received backing from a section of netizens owing to the fact that he comes from the vote-rich Mt. Kenya region.

A significant number of Kenyans agreed that the running mate should be able to bring a huge chunk of votes to the Azimio basket.

Odinga and UDA presidential candidate William Ruto have until April 28, 2022, to unveil their running mates as per IEBC.
