11 more people in Kenya succumb to Covid-19, raising the country's death toll to 777.

The Health Ministry on Monday announced that 11 more people in Kenya had succumbed to Covid-19, raising the country's death toll to 777.

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe also reported 73 new cases raising the count to 41,619 after the analysis of 2,001 samples over the last 24 hours.

“From the cases, 70 are Kenyans and 3 are foreigners. 46 are males and 27 females. The youngest is 17 years old while the oldest is 77,” Kagwe's statement read.

97 people have recovered from the disease with 66 being discharged from various hospitals and 31 from the Home-Based Care Program bringing the total recoveries to 31,097.

Cases per County

Nairobi recorded 34, Kilifi 18, Mombasa 11, Busia 4, Taita Taveta 2, Kirinyaga 1. Kiambu 1, Meru 1 and Uasin Gishu 1.

The 34 cases in Nairobi are from Kibra and Westlands (3) cases each, Dagoretti North, Dagoretti South, Embakasi Central, Embakasi East, Embakasi North, Embakasi South, Embakasi West, Kamukunji, Lang’ata, Makadara, Mathare, Roysambu, Ruaraka and Starehe (2) cases each.

The 18 cases in Kilifi were recorded in Magarini (12), Malindi (4) and Kilifi South (2). In Busia, the 4 cases are from Matayos (3) and Teso North (1). In Taita Taveta, the 2 cases are all from Voi.
