Many Jubilee MPs have been skipping Raila's rallies, a move is seen as aimed at charting a different political path.

President William Ruto on Wednesday, February 8 met with over 30 Jubilee Party elected Members of Parliament (MPs) at State House Nairobi.

In an update via Twitter after the meeting, President Ruto stated that the Jubilee MPs agreed to work together with the government to advance the development agenda.

Ruto stated that it was inevitable for leaders to work together, noting that the people who elected the MPs are the same who elected the Kenya Kwanza government.

"You have a right to make choices as Kenya is a democratic country. You are now our members and we will treat you as such," the President said.

He added, “We will be seeking your support on Bills and regulations on the Housing Fund, Water Purchasing Agreements, among others."

Some of the MPs who attended the meeting include; Nominated MP Sabina Chege, Omar Shurie (Balambala), Adan Keynan (Eldas, John Waluke (Sirisia), Mark Mwenje (Embakasi West), Irene Njoki( Bhatai) Kanini Kega (EALA) among others.

The meeting comes a day before Azimio's parliamentary group meeting scheduled on Thursday at Stoni Athi Resort in Machakos county.
