Two police officers have been hospitalized after sustaining injuries while manning a curfew roadblock along Thika Road on Monday night.
The officers sustained injuries after a lorry lost control and rammed into a police lorry at the roadblock.
The two police officers injured in the accident have been identified as; Joseph Kiminda and Geoffrey Sigolia.
They were injured in the head, right hand, and left leg.
The driver of the lorry was arrested after which it was discovered that he was drunk. He is set to be arraigned at the Makadara Law Courts later today.

Following the accident, the officers cleared the roadblock allowing vehicles that had been detained to pass freely.
In a separate incident, Pangani OCS Samir Yunus was on Sunday night injured after a speeding motorcycle hit him at a roadblock in Pangani, Nairobi.
The officer was manning the roadblock along Dr. Griffin Road when he was hit. He is reported to have sustained head injuries during the accident.
Following the accident, the cyclist was arrested and his motorcycle impounded.
Speaking after his arrest, the cyclist claimed that he lost control and hit the officer while speeding home due to the curfew.
Reports indicate that the accident happened at around 8:30 pm.
Meanwhile, police across the city have been setting up roadblocks and nabbing the 8 pm to 4 am curfew offenders.
The operation began on Saturday along Thika Road causing a huge traffic snarl-up and anger among Kenyans some of whom had to spend the night on the Highway.
According to the police, Kenyans need to respect and curfew and plan their journeys accordingly to avoid such inconveniences.
Police have vowed to implement the curfew orders as directed by the President without fear or favour.
