"I want to put it to the leaders of Jubilee in the National Assembly and Senate that they are behaving badly."

Senate Assembly Majority Whip Boni Kalwale has called out Jubilee MPs who defected to their camp for what he termed as "behaving badly".

The Kakamega senator said  Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance is right to de-whip members of the Jubilee party given that they changed their political sides.

He said it was wrong for them to continue holding their positions in the Assembly yet they have changed sides.

"The 30 members of the Jubilee party addressed Kenyans in broad daylight and said they were fed up with what was going on in Azimio. They even replaced their secretary general and vice chairman just to portray that they had made up their decision," the Senator said on Thursday.

"I want to put it to the leaders of Jubilee in the National Assembly and Senate that they are behaving badly. They should be the first to resign from their positions."

He went on to add:

"They can't move to our side (Kenya Kwanza) and still be leaders on the other side (Azimio)... What Raila Odinga did at the presser we have just seen is perfectly right," he added.

Azimio on Wednesday announced leadership changes where Isiolo senator Fatuma Dullo was de-whipped as the minority Whip and replaced with Narok Senator Ledama Olekina.

This comes after a group of 32 MPs pledged to work with President William Ruto even as they announced plans to leave the Azimio La Umoja coalition.
