Hassan Ali had been at the Standard Group-owned station for 13 years.

Legendary Radio Maisha president Hassan Ali Kauleni has ended his stint at the Standard Group-owned station.

Via a Swahili column in The Nairobian, the media personality informed his audience about his departure on Friday, February 18.

Throughout his stint at Radio Maisha, Ali ran the Nuru Ya Lugha program every Saturday where Swahili language was given prime time.

His last program was on Saturday, February 18, where he also announced the end of his stay at the station.

"It's mixed feelings. Believe it or not dear listener, after almost 13 years since 2010 I have been steering this Nuru Ya Lugha segment. It's now my time to say goodbye," said Ali.

While dismissing assertions that he had been fired by the station, Ali assured his fans he would soon resurface big and better.

Besides The Nairobian columns and Nuru Ya Lugha, Ali also did sports commentating.

Prior to joining Radio Maisha, Ali had worked at Citizen Radio which is owned by Royal Media Services.

Ali joins a host of Standard Group journalists who called it quits with the media house.

At Radio Maisha, Ali trails Linda Oriaso and Beatrice Maganga who left earlier this month.

The Mombasa Road-bases media giant has reportedly been grappling with dented cash flow, delay of salaries being the supposed motivation behind the reported turnover.
