Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Thursday, May 12, met with South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir.

The former Vice President said his meeting with the South Sudan Head of State was part of the unification process of the country’s army.

Kalonzo commended the country for the process, adding that a graduation ceremony of the Unified Forces under a single command structure will be held.

“I delight in witnessing the significant strides S. Sudan has made towards the process of unification of the Country’s Army that was our primary engagement. There will be a graduation ceremony of The Unified Forces under a single command structure. We commend & honour you,” Kalonzo tweeted.


The Wiper boss arrived in South Sudan on Tuesday, March 10 where he was expected to engage in peace talks and the unification of the country’s military.

He was received by South Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Deng Dau Melik and Kenyan Amb. Maj. Gen (Rtd) Samuel Nandwa.

Kalonzo met with the country’s vice president Rebecca Garang on Wednesday, March 11 as part of his engagements on the ongoing peace process.

“As part of our engagements on the on-going Peace Process, I met with and held productive talks with the Fourth Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan, H.E. Rebecca Garang in Juba earlier today (Wednesday)” Kalonzo tweeted.

He also met with the country’s first Vice President Dr. Riek Machar.
