Pastor Dorcas Rigathi has reiterated that same sex relationships (LGBTQ) has no place in Kenya.

The Spouse of the Deputy President Pastor Dorcas Rigathi has reiterated that same sex relationships (LGBTQ) has no place in Kenya.

Speaking on Saturday, March 4, in  Nyeri Town, Pastor Dorcas faulted the Supreme Court in its recent ruling that dismissed an appeal to bar registration of members of the LGBTQ community seeking registration.

“They hear it or they don’t hear it, what we are saying, marriage is for a man and a woman. There is no other way, legally, culturally, and religiously. And it is the only way," she stated. 

Pastor Dorcas added, "Maybe other places have constitutions that allow such (LGBTQ) but here in Africa, it is what we believe."

She said any nation cannot prosper without strong family values and marriages between male and female as stated in the holy book (Bible).

“Let nobody lie to you. There is no scientific evidence that there is a DNA in a person that makes you a lesbian or homosexual, it is a lie from the devil," Pastor Dorcas said. 

Other leaders who were in attendance included Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga, Deputy Governor David Kinarire, MPs Kanini Kega (EALA) and Sabina Chege (Nominated), and Nyeri County Speaker James Gichuhi among others.
