A police officer attached to Lang'ata police station has shot dead two women before taking his own life. 

Nairobi Leo has established that Corporal Mark Mulanda first killed his colleague’s wife, then his girlfriend and later shot himself dead.

The deceased women were identified as Fiona Chepkoech, a 37-year-old woman who was the wife of his colleague, and Rhoda Machuma Chepchumba, his 28-year-old lover.

The Sunday incident happened after Mulanda left his duty station saying he was going to pick a jacket at home.

While back home, a standoff allegedly ensued forcing Fiona to come out and check what was happening.

It is then that Mulanda was angered that he shot Fiona two times. She died on the spot. 

He then entered his house and shot his lover seven times to death.

After Committing the two murder incidents he turned the trigger on himself.

Fiona's husband is said to have been away to attend to a colleague's burial in rural area. 

The victims were staying at Mugumoini police camp.

Sources said the deceased appeared disturbed recently and that on the day of the incident, he talked to his wife before heading home.

Langata sub-county police commander Monica Kimani who visited the scene said they are yet to establish the motive of the incident
