The vocal lawyer's remarks did not go down well with a section of netizens.

Vocal city lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has come under heavy criticism from a section of netizens after he claimed that Azimio presidential running mate Martha Karua’s Nanyuki rally was poorly attended.

In a tweet on Tuesday, May 24, the senior counsel said that he was on the ground in Nanyuki and the photos that were being posted of the rally were fake.

“Forget the fake videos and photos about Hon Martha Karua's rally in Nyanyuki...I’m here...150 Boda Bodas...50 placard carrying men/women, 50 policemen, 30 cars, 2 trucks with music system and about 20 curious onlookers,” the lawyer tweeted.

But a look at the official Twitter handle of Karua showed the Raila Odinga running mate’s rally in Nanyuki being thronged with massive supporters.

The remarks by Ahmednasir seemed to irk a section of netizens who were quick to blast him for spreading untruthful information.

According to a section of netizens, the senior counsel should have used logic and told the truth. They dared him to post the videos.

Azimio Secretary General Junet Mohamed was also quick to react to the tweet by the lawyer.

Junet tweeted: “Senior Counsel they’ve unleashed you too. Thought you’d be just a keyboard warrior.”

Karua had taken the Azimio campaigns to Mt. Kenya's Laikipia County on Tuesday.
