Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei has dared Azimio la Umoja elected leaders to boycott taking salaries if they don’t recognize the Kenya Kwanza government.

In an update via Twitter on Thursday, March 9, Cherargei termed the Azimio mass action plan as hot air. 

The UDA senator also dared the former Prime Minister to boycott his retirement benefits since the current regime is illegally in office.

“Can the Azimio-OKA MPs, MCAs, Governors, Senators boycott taking salaries plus Tinga boycott taking retirement benefits also since they govt is in office illegally yet Kenyans voted & victory H.E Ruto was upheld by Supreme Court. Mass action of Tinga & co. is hot air,” Cherargei stated.

The opposition chief noted that there would be a major protest in Nairobi on March 20, 2023, against the Kenya Kwanza government.

“Take note that on the 20th of March 2023, we have a date with destiny in Nairobi. On that day our supporters throughout the country shall stage a massive procession in Nairobi for a legitimate and inclusive government. Save that date and let the action begin. The movement for the defence of democracy has now started, “Raila announced.
