Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has finally made his way back to Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance.

Kalonzo made the announcement on his return on Thursday, June 2 during a press conference at the Wiper Command centre.

"As a people, our true measure lies in our ability to discern when the nation is bigger than an individual. Therefore, after deep introspection, I have today deferred my dreams to run for the president of the Republic of Kenya in the forthcoming general elections," the former Vice president announced.

Kalonzo at the same time shared a message of gratitude to a section of Kenyans who stood with him when he declared his bid for the presidency.

"I stand here as a proud Kenyan. I acknowledge the goodwill I have received from those Kenyans who appended their signatures to allow me to run for the presidency," he said.

Kalonzo also accepted the prime cabinet secretary's offer extended to him by the ODM leader.

"After deep introspection, I've today deferred my dream to run for the president of Kenya in the forthcoming general election. I've decided to accept with humility my nomination as the chief minister in the Azimio One Kenya coalition when we form the next government. I would wish to congratulate Martha Karua on her nomination as Azimio deputy nominee," he said.

Kalonzo was flanked by his former running mate aspirant Andrew Sunkuli.

The Wiper leader is thereafter expected to address a joint rally with ODM leader Raila Odinga at Mkuru Kwa Njenga.

Kalonzo's move will come as a major boost to Odinga's presidential bid.
