Chief Justice Martha Koome and other supreme court judges unanimously upheld President Ruto's victory and threw out Raila's case.


The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) hired 28 law firms to defend the 2022 Presidential results that declared President William Ruto the winner.

Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga, who lost the August presidential election challenged the poll outcome at the Supreme Court of Kenya.

Documents presented in parliament which have since been accessed by this writer indicate that former attorney general Githu Muigai's law firm pocketed the lion's share of IEBC millions.

Nairobi Leo has established the former AG who was the lead counsel for the IEBC walked home with a whooping Sh567 million.

Another firm known as Mohamed Muigai LLP advocates will receive Sh34.8 million from IEBC, equally as legal fees.

Law firms that will each be paid Sh17.4 million include Hassan Mutembei and Company Advocates, Sagana Biriq Advocates, Muchemi and Company Advocates, Omiti and Bush Advocates LLP, Kang’ethe Mola and Company Advocates, Ng’etich, Chiira and Associates Advocates, Samba and Odeck and Mulama Company Advocates.

 JK Kibicho and Company Advocates, Wekesa and Simiyu Advocates, Tiego and Company Advocates, G and A Advocates LLP and Manyonge Wanyama and Associates Advocates will each pocket Sh20 million.

Others that will get the same amount are Murugu, Rigoro and Company Advocates, Garane and Somane Advocates, SM Kilonzo Associates, Mukele Moni and Company Advocates, and Mutubwa Law.

An unnamed law firm will pocket Sh26.7 million, Senior Counsel Kamau Karori of IKM Advocates is set to pocket Sh26.7million, an amount that will also be pocketed by Senior Counsel Abdikadir Hussein Mohamed of the Abdikadir & Abdikadir Advocates.
