UDA MPs on Tuesday asked the Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome to arrest Uhuru and ODM leader Raila Odinga for being responsible for  massive losses the country witnessed on Monday

Jubilee Party secretary General Jeremiah Kioni has responded to calls by a section of UDA legislators for retired President Uhuru Kenyatta to be arrested and his properties invaded.

Speaking on Wednesday, March 22 after delivering a notice of Azimio protests scheduled for next week at the office of Nairobi police boss Adamson Bungei, Kioni stated that the UDA MPs were taking it too far. 

“I saw UDA people address a press conference yesterday and among them, they threatened to invade the properties of Uhuru Kenyatta. As the Jubilee Secretary-General, I want to say that this is taking it too far. We would want the police officers to take action on any person who threatens the right to own property of any Kenyan,” said Kioni.

The former Ndaragwa MP also asked Uhuru's supporters to come out and state their positions.

UDA MPs on Tuesday asked the Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome to arrest Uhuru and ODM leader Raila Odinga.

In a statement read by Majority Leader Kiamani Ichung'wah, the MPs said the two are responsible for massive losses the country witnessed on Monday.

"We ask the IG of Police not just to arrest the small boys who are paid to riot. If the buck stops at the door of Odinga, go for Odinga, if the buck stops at his sponsor's door, go for them," Ichung'wah said.

He added,” "The buck stops with Raila and his sponsors, and they must be held to account for the destructions that took place during the protest.”
