The viral clip shows the ODM boss almost falling off a weak podium.

A clip has made rounds on social media of ODM leader Raila Odinga supposedly falling off a platform while in Kisii.

The former prime minister was on Friday, March 24, attending a funeral in Nyaribari Chache.

In the video making rounds, the ODM leader is seen struggling to stand on a podium before an aide comes to hold him.

The purveyors suggested that Raila had become frail and that he could not stand for long to speak.

Nairobileo.co.ke has however established that the clip was doctored.

The moment he got onto the stage was merged with the one he was leaving after making his speech.

ODM leader Raila Odinga was in a Kisii to attend the burial of party official's mother.

The original video posted on Facebook by the ODM party shows Raila being welcomed by former Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya.

Raila spoke for about eight minutes before he left the stage.

His aide was on standby to help him descend on noting the dais was weak.

In his speech, Raila vowed to continue with mass action even as President William Ruto continue to fault him for sabotaging the economy.

Azimio will resume its mass action on Monday, March 27, after the inaugural one last week.

At the centre of Raila's call for the protests is high cost of living and unresolved issues around the 2022 General Election.
