This comes days after National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah claimed that former President Uhuru Kenyatta is the principal sponsor of the Azimio la Umoja demonstrations.

Unknown people on Monday, March 27 stormed into the Kenyatta Family's land in Ruiru, Kiambu County. 

It has not yet been established why the group invaded the vast piece of land. 

The unknown individuals have been cutting down the trees and torching the parcel of land.  

Narok Senator Ledama Olekina earlier claimed goons had been hired to invade the land and subdivide it among themselves. 

Ledama also alleged that the invasion of the Kenyatta family property is a move by the government to push Azimio from holding protests.

This comes days after National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah claimed that former President Uhuru Kenyatta is the principal sponsor of the Azimio la Umoja demonstrations.

He alleged that the protests are part of a bigger plan by the former President to destabilize the Kenya Kwanza regime.

“It’s high time you accept that Ruto who was once your deputy and Rigathi who was once your personal assistant are now the President and the Deputy President of Kenya respectively.

“If you still assume they are your juniors you better wake up to reality and the earlier for you, the better. You can do absolutely nothing to stop them from governing the country,” Ichung'wah stated.
