NARC Kenya leader Martha Karua has hit out at Inspector general of Police Japhet Koome after unknown people invaded former President Uhuru Kenyatta's northlands farm in Ruiru, Kiambu County. 

In a statement on Monday evening, Karua questioned why police didn't intervene as goons raided and stole livestock from Kenyattas' farm. 

"IG Koome the ‘tough talking ‘ police chief who deploys police to block and tear gas lawful demonstrations but sits idle while hired goons invade and destroy private propert property of a retired president and commander in chief," Karua stated. 

An armed group invaded Northlands farm on Monday, March 27, along the Eastern Bypass. The group, who were heard chanting Mau Mau slogans, cut down trees and stole livestock from the farm. 

Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome 

Another group invaded Raila Odinga’s East Africa Spectre Limited company along Mombasa road and destroyed property of unknown value.

By the time of going to the press, IG Koome had not commented on the incident which has attracted nationwide debate on social media platforms.
