The IEBC is this week shortlisting candidates for various temporary jobs it advertised a few weeks ago.

The Teachers Service Commission has dismissed reports that it has banned its teachers across the country from taking IEBC jobs.

This is after a new site reported that all teachers had been warned from taking the electoral jobs.

The report also indicated that school heads have been warned from giving their teachers permission to take part in their IEBC jobs.

TSC has, however, dismissed the report and flagged it as fake.

"The attention of the Commission is drawn to this fake news. Treat it with the contempt it deserves," TSC tweeted while sharing the image of a misleading report.

The clarifications come at a time when the IEBC is shortlisting candidates for temporary jobs it advertised days ago.

The jobs have been serving as a side hustle to thousands of teachers who have taken up roles such as Presiding, Deputy Presiding officers and even clerical jobs.
