  • Nyamohanga is the key suspect in a racket that has swindled Kenyans Ksh200 million.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) reported that Kenya Prisons senior sergeant Grace Nyamohanga, alias Nasra has surrendered.

On Sunday the DCI announced that Nyamohanga who is wanted in connection to a Ksh200 million con syndicate handed herself over to authorities.

Nyamohanga is the key suspect in a racket that has swindled Kenyans Ksh200 million on fake promises of being offered job opportunities.

"Senior Sergeant Grace Nyamohanga, alias ‘Nasra’ the Prison warder believed to be in charge of a wide syndicate that has swindled Kenyans hundreds of millions of shillings, on fake promises of being offered job opportunities has surrendered to our detectives," the DCI's statement read.

According to the DCI Nyamohanga surrendered to Serious Crime detectives at the DCI headquarters on Sunday afternoon while detectives were hunting her down.

"The suspect surrendered herself to Serious Crime detectives at DCI headquarters this afternoon. She is currently being processed to appear in court tomorrow, to answer to various charges including obtaining money by false pretences, forgery & money laundering among other charges," the DCI explained.
