President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday chaired a special cabinet meeting at the KWS Law Enforcement Academy in Manyani, Taita Taveta County.
The head of state received a key report on major projects under the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government.
The Office of the President in a cabinet release on Friday afternoon indicated that the National Integrated Information Management System (NIIMS) Programme – Huduma Namba initiative was part of the report.
The report dubbed State of National Security, Nationhood and Territorial Integrity also covered a wide range of issues, including geospatial surveys and airborne geophysical projects.

The various projects; according to the office of the president were interventions by the national security organs to ensure that Kenya remains a safe and secure nation.
In September, Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho disclosed that the government was planning a second mass-registration exercise for Huduma Namba.
Kibicho in a press briefing to announce the move said it will be targeting Kenyans who did not have a chance to enrol for the special identification numbers in 2019.
"37 million Kenyans registered for Huduma Namba in 2019. The process is 90% complete, Kenyans will be able to throw away all other cards once Huduma cards are produced.
"Children will now be born straight into Huduma Namba system," the Interior PS indicated.
It is expected that Kenyans will start receiving Huduma Namba Cards as a replacement for the National IDs before December 2020.
