A family in Naivasha is mourning the death of two family members after a row that ensued at a drinking joint.

The two family members were brothers and one is said to have killed the other before taking his life.

It is during the standoff that the elder brother Joseph Kagwima, 31, stabbed his younger sibling  Simon Kamau, 29, resulting in his bleeding. He died at the scene of the attack.

Kagwima is reported to have left the bar and headed home where he slit his throat in a mission to commit suicide.

He was pronounced dead at the Naivasha sub-county hospital where he was rushed for medication.

Naivasha OCPD Samuel Waweru has confirmed the incident.

He said an inquest file has been opened to handle the matter.

The bodies of the deceased have been taken to Naivasha sub-county hospital.
