Two Shot Dead, Another Two Escape After Police Caught Them Stealing

Two suspected criminals were ganged down on Friday morning by police who were conducting patrols in Njukiri, Embu County.

The two were part of a four-member who were caught terrorising and stealing from residents.

Police recovered stolen goods such as alcoholic drinks and gas cylinders among others.

Embu West OCPD Julius Kubule confirmed the incident. He said the group is believed to be conducting their criminal activities in the Njukiri area.

The bodies of the two suspects have been taken to Embu Level five Hospital mortuary

In recent days heightened police patrols in the county have seen police neutralize several gangs.

Meanwhile, police are on the lookout for two armed robbers who escaped.
