The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has distanced itself from reports that its party leader Raila Odinga is set to host a youth empowerment meeting and donate vehicles to the less fortunate.

A poster advertising an alleged youth empowerment meeting by Odinga and businessman Jimmy Wanjigi has been doing rounds on social media.

According to the poster, the said function was to happen at the Jacaranda Grounds in Nairobi. The poster had an ODM logo and a fleet of cars in what appears to be a public yard.

However, reacting to the poster, ODM noted that it was fake news, adding that Odinga has no such event scheduled.

“NOTE that the poster circulating on social media fora is FAKE... ignore it,” ODM tweeted.

Looking at the poster, it can easily fool you since it has an ODM logo, and the creators picked a venue that is synonymous with ODM.

Shortly after the poster emerged online, a section of netizens began to tease Deputy President William Ruto who has been donating wheelbarrows and other tools to youths across the country.

A number of tweeps claimed that Ruto should up his game and start issuing vehicles.
