  • The MP claimed that Uhuru has betrayed Jubilee Party and should lead the way by resigning.

Soy Member of Parliament Caleb Kositany has called for President Uhuru Kenyatta’s resignation over the woes being experienced in the Jubilee Party.

Speaking during an interview on Wednesday night, Kositany; a close ally of deputy President William Ruto admitted for the first time that he is a member of UDA Party, adding that Jubilee is no longer existent.

Responding to why he is yet to resign despite abandoning the party that sponsored him to Parliament, Kositany argued that President Kenyatta should be the first to resign, since he’s announced that he’ll be supporting an opposition candidate, yet he is the Jubilee Party leader.

“We are going for an election in the next twelve months, I don’t need to resign. Even our president has declared that he is not going to support a Jubilee candidate. So, if there is anybody who should resign first it should be our party leader because he has already declared that nobody in Jubilee is fit to succeed him.

“He’s going to reorganize NASA, try and patch it back together and support a candidate from NASA, so I think we are beyond that stage of demanding that people resign from political parties…,”Kositany said.

Addressing the planned Jubilee-ODM merger, Kositany noted that the coalition will not be a big deal since “Jubilee is finished. Jubilee is a dead party”.

“Jubilee can longer gets back on its feet…It engaged on a self-destruction mode after the handshake, the party has never held a proper Parliamentary Group meeting…,” Kositany said.
