Dickson Njanja Mararo, the suspect behind the shooting of two police officers and a woman at Quiver’s Lounge in Kasarani, last Friday, has surrendered to detectives at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters.

The suspect who is currently being grilled by Serious Crimes detectives surrendered on Monday afternoon, accompanied by lawyer Cliff Ombeta.

According to DCI, a Glock semi-automatic pistol and 38 rounds of 9mm ammunition, were recovered from the suspect. Mararo will be arraigned in court to answer to charges of attempted murder.

Police launched a manhunt for Mr. Mararo after he was captured on CCTV cameras last Friday opening fire at a group of people who were standing inside Quivers Lounge before he dashed out and drove off on a four-wheel-drive vehicle.

Details emerged later that among those who were shot were two police officers identified as Festus Musyoka attached to the DCI in Pangani and Lawrence Muturi attached to Kasarani Police station and a lady by the name Felistas Nzisa.

A search of the vehicle plates identified the owner as Dickson Mararo and police were looking for him for questioning.
