Police are searching for Joseph Otieno, a 36-year, General Service Unit (GSU) officer who went missing on July 9, 2021.
Otieno, who is attached to the GSU headquarters, was reported missing by the wife Caroline Odhiambo on July 11 at the Kasarani Police Station.
According to a police report, the GSU officer had hired a vehicle for personal use which was later found abandoned at a quarry in Mwiki, Kasarani.
Otieno's phone signal was last picked up in Naivas Supermarket along Ouering Road in Ruaraka at 11:13 am on Friday.

"Efforts to trace him have been in vain as his phone has been switched off and his whereabouts unknown,” police said.
Kasarani Sub-County Police Commander Peter Mwazo mentioned that the search mission was conducted around Mwiki, Gituamba farm where the last car track signal was traced.
Mr. Mwazo added that a multi-agency team from different security agencies had extended the search to other parts of the city.
