Deputy President William Ruto allied party United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has opened a new chapter in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States.

An announcement on the UDA social media pages called on its supporters in Atlanta to join the party's secretary-general Veronica Maina on Sunday for the launch.

This is the second office the party is opening in a month after Murang'a Senator Irungu Kang'ata launched the UDA Washington office in June.

Speaking during the launch, Hon. Kang'ata hailed UDA as the only Kenyan party to have an office in Seattle, Washington.

The launch was attended by Deputy President William Ruto via video conferencing and pledged to create a ministry to handle issues facing Kenyans in the diaspora.

The 'wheelbarrow' party has hit the ground running since its rebranding in late 2020 with the latest move an attempt to market the party to Kenyans living in the diaspora.

It has since embarked on an aggressive marketing campaign popularizing itself as the better option when compared to Jubilee Party.

The party has also embarked on member registration led by its leaders as it seeks to fill its ranks ahead of the 2022 polls.
