Senator Millicent Omanga has told Kalonzo Musyoka that ODM leader Raila Odinga can only be the running mate to Deputy President William Ruto.

The senator was referring to Kalonzo Musyoka's speech in Changamwe on Friday where he asked former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to be his running mate.

The Wiper Party Leader said that he had supported Raila Odinga for close to a decade and it was the ODM leader's turn to return the favour.

In a tweet sent out early on Saturday morning, the nominated Senator described Kalonzo as a 'small river' which wanted a big river to join it.

"Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is asking Raila Odinga to be his running mate. Question is, when did big rivers start joining small rivers? Isn't it always the reverse? Tuseme tu ukweli. Raila can only be running mate to DP Ruto," Senator Omanga wrote on Twitter.

Kalonzo Musyoka has ramped up his campaigns insisting he will not lay second fiddle after being Raila's running mate in consecutive elections.

He is at the coast for a three-day tour where he is seeking to popularise his candidature.

Wiper and ODM both announced their exits from NASA coalition this past week leaving them free to partner with other political parties in coalitions ahead of 2022.
