The mother-daughter duo had travelled from Western Kenya with the girl having been selected to join the prestigious institution on August 2nd.

In its defence, the school claimed that it was actually, Rachel, the mother, who initiated a transfer of the form one student to the school in Siaya.

"The story circulating in social media is totally false. The lady showed kneeling and getting emotional sought for a form one transfer to Wasabwa in Siaya county. The details of her relative who requested her transfer are available in Nemis. The school has no mandate to retransfer the student

The parent came to school accompanied by Media guys and despite being advised by the School Principal to be patient as she contacted the ministry she went ahead to create drama," read the statement from the institution.

Nairobi Leo can now confirm that Hildah Anatwa was admitted to Mugoiri Girls in the course of Tuesday.

The school live-streamed the entire event showing the form one student going through the admission process at the national school.

It was revealed that a Florence Achola had initiated the transfer of the form one student from Mugoiri Girls to Wasabwa Secondary.

The Mugoiri Girls Principal assured the members of the press who were at the school that the minor would not be victimised.
