The politician's brother George Muruli has confirmed her demise to the media.

Muruli's death is the second high profile Covid-19 death in the county after Kakamega County Chief of Staff succumbed to Covid-19 barely a day after Governor Oparanya shut down county offices.

Governor Oparanya's  Chief of Staff passed away on Thursday morning, October 29 2020.

A number of MCAs at the County Assembly are battling the virus. Shirugu-Mugai Ward MCA is among those who contracted the virus.
