Following his confirmation, Mudibo ceases to be the acting Business Editor and now officially takes over from Larry Madowo who held the position before moving to the United States. 

Renowned Kenyan journalist Zawadi Mudibo has officially been appointed as the Business Editor at BBC, Africa.

According to a communication from Newton Ndebu, the Programmes Editor at BBC Africa, Mudibo takes over the role for a period of one year.

Ndebu requested the BBC team to work with Mudibo and accord him the support he needs to execute his role effectively.

"Zawadi has been holding the position in an acting capacity and following a competitive process, is now confirmed to the role for the next 12 months. He is a talented and dedicated journalist, with over a decade's experience reporting Business News in Africa.

"I would also like to express my gratitude to the BBC Africa Business leadership team who, have alongside Zawadi, led the BBC Africa business teams through a protracted leadership transition.

"We wish Zawadi and the team the very best of luck.”

Zawadi Replaces Larry Madowo

Following his confirmation, Mudibo ceases to be the acting Business Editor and now officially takes over from Larry Madowo who held the position before moving to the United States.
