Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has endorsed Narc-Kenya leader Martha Karua to be the leader of the region heading into 2022.

Speaking to Citizen TV, Kuria noted that Karua has sufficient experience and is capable of steering the region into the right political path.

The Gatundu South lawmaker further endorsed Karua for the position of Deputy President, arguing that she has what it takes to be Kenya’s first female second-in-command.

“I want to endorse Martha Karua for the position of Deputy President, she has integrity, she has the stamina, she has the record, she has a clear sterling record as a crusader for both multipartism and human rights, for the defense of the Constitution…,” he said in part.

Karua is currently the Spokesperson of the Mt Kenya Unity Forum (MKUF) that brings together; Narc-Kenya, Chama Cha Kazi and Mwangi Kiunjuri’s The Service Party (TSP).

MKUF is yet to announce who they will support as their presidential candidate in the 2022 general election.

The group has a Conference scheduled to be held at the Jumuia Conference Centre Limuru on Saturday, 22nd January 2022 where they are expected to announce the way forward in regards to the presidential race.

Meanwhile, MKUF has in the past made it clear that it will not work with a coalition that advocates for merger of small parties.

The group wants small parties to remain as they are and be allowed to contest other seats in the August 2022 general election.
